Dr. Vardakis was born in Kansas City, Missouri.  He enjoys the Midwest for its varying seasons and family values. 

He graduated from Rockhurst High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia before pursuing his medical studies.  He completed an Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology training program at UMKC School of Medicine in 1996.  He remained on the faculty at Truman Medical Center Lakewood for 3-1/2 years before pursuing private practice in eastern Jackson County. 

Dr. Vardakis is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
